How Often Should You Schedule a Deep Clean in Florida?

April 15, 2026 5 min read

Most national cleaning guides say 'deep clean once a year.' Most national cleaning guides were not written for Florida.

Why Florida is different

Three things shift the math here: humidity (which encourages mildew in grout and shower corners), salt air (which leaves a film on glass and metals), and seasonal traffic (snowbirds, holiday guests, summer family rotations). All three accumulate faster than they would in a drier or less coastal climate.

Our recommended cadence

  • Homes on bi-weekly maintenance cleans: deep clean every 6 months
  • Homes on monthly maintenance: deep clean every 3–4 months
  • Homes with no recurring service: deep clean every 90 days minimum
  • Vacation rentals and Airbnbs: deep clean every 60–90 days regardless of turnover schedule
  • Beachside homes (within ½ mile of the ocean): bump everything up one tier

Signs you're overdue

Hazy glass shower doors, visible grout discoloration, dust on the tops of door frames, or sand inside baseboards and sliding-door tracks. Any of those means the maintenance clean is being asked to do work it isn't designed to do.
